Apply for Certification

All full ABACC Institutional and Individual members are eligible to apply for ABACC Certified CHEBP status.

Fulfill the Requirements

Complete the core and annual Certified CHEBP requirements.

Advance Your Career Through Certification

Gain respect as a strategic advisor and invite new career opportunities as a Certified CHEBP.

  • Who Is Eligible for Certification?

    • Certification is available to all full ABACC Institutional and Individual Members, excluding Associate members.
    • ABACC members have access to quality personal and professional development over the course of a membership year, ensuring access to a wide range of educational opportunities covering relevant and timely issues and trends.
    • If you aren’t a qualifying ABACC member, upgrade your membership to apply.
  • Attend the ABACC Annual Conference

  • Business Office 360° or Cabinet Verification

    • Completion of Business Office 360° (13 CPE credits) 

    —OR—

    • Opt out of Business Office 360°—for applicants with at least five years of experience as a Christian higher education cabinet-level business officer.
  • Complete Three ABACC Webinars

    Complete a minimum of three live ABACC webinars (1.5 CPE credits each) over the initial one-year Certification period.

  • Maintain Your Certification

    To maintain your Certification, you must:

    • Attend a minimum of one out of three consecutive Annual Conferences that provides content, connections, and networking.
    • Complete at least nine ABACC live webinars over the three-year period.
  • How Much Does Certification Cost?

    • Initial application fee: $150
    • Initial Certification fee: $350
    • Recertification fee: $100
    • Reactivation fee (if lapsed): $150
  • Who Is Eligible for Certification?

    • Certification is available to all full ABACC Institutional and Individual Members, excluding Associate members.
