Three Leadership Qualities to Cultivate

Brian Sooy • Jan 31, 2023

Psalm 26 begins this way:

Judge me favorably, O Lord,
because I have walked with integrity
and I have trusted you without wavering.
Examine me, O Lord, and test me.
Look closely into my heart and mind.

2022 was a doozy. We all had personal and professional challenges that stretched us to our limits.

We’re torn in multiple directions.

Our loyalty is tested.

We’re easily distracted.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

Write down these three words and ask God to help you to be wholehearted, undivided, and focused.

  • Judge me favorably, O Lord, because I have walked with integrity and I have trusted you without wavering. > God wants our wholehearted commitment.
  • Examine me, O Lord, and test me. > God demands our undivided loyalty.
  • Look closely into my heart and mind. > God desires us to have a focused heart and mind.

Despite what this world throws at us, God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are our constant companions.

God promises you have everything you need to live a godly life when you’re wholehearted, undivided, and focused.
